    A record breaking $36.5 million dollars in total consideration was paid for the domain name Insurance.com by Quinstreet recently.

    It would appear that there was no interest in the business under that name, making this a probable straight domain sale.

    With Insurance.com being considered the most valuable of all domain names, this acquisition sets a new record in the industry.

    Full details of the purchase have yet to be released.
